you foxy man ford

The answer to that is YES, you certainly have now! This advert is fun, eye-catching, simplistic yet sexy! Tom Ford designed this uni-sex floral and amber fragrance, Neroli Portofino to capture the atmospheric feel of the glamorous  Italian town , which it is adoringly named after.

The campaign stars naked Max Motta and Denisa Dvorakova and shot by Ford himself.

going for gold

It's only a javelin's throw away till the 2012 Olympics come to London. In preparation, the sophisticated English designer, Stella McCartney has redefined sportswear for  Team GB athletes and fans alike with Adidas whom she has been collaborating with since 2004.

The last home game was in 1948 and now McCartney has an Olympic pledge to make the nation looking goooooood! McCartney jokes, : " I keep joking that if the team do well, I'll try to pretend it was down to me.But if they do badly, I'll blame the athletes."

The first capsule line of the Team GB fan collection is available from May 16 and Stella McCartney reprises the Team GB lion logo with great virtue. She continues , "It's a real pleasure working with the British colours and this is the time to be patriotic -with attitude.."

Check out Stella McCartney's official range for sports enthusiasts and spectators.

he's a new man

My dad has recently moved into a funky apartment with his new girlfriend. His style has changed drastically and his trendy apartment reflects this! There seems to be an apparent red theme as his toaster, hoover, cups and even settee are red, love must be in the air!The views from the apartment are lovely , you can look right on to the moor or if you look out of the side window you can look on to a farm, where horses run freely.I love it , it's soooo cosy!

so very surreal.

Fantasy world-Prada's online lookbook for s/s'11-
(a hallucinatory mix of dancing models and animated backgrounds)

Weird but ever so wonderful designs are huge this season. In my opinion weird is always huge on the agenda because people of fashion love the strange and the down right outrageous pieces- thrilled by wonder of how what the designer's inspirations and intentions were when crafting it.The following samples below will give you a  flavour that surrealism is biting back its curiosity again.

Sunglasses, Jeremy Scott for Linda Farrow
Silver Eye Ring, Bottega Veneta
Lipstick earrings, Danielle Scutt for Freedom at Topshop

...bizarre but beautiful.

asia strikes back

Model, Li Ai

In the early millennium according to Chinese model, Li Ai,- season after season most model castings said , ' We don't want an Asian' or 'We just want one and we already have her.' She states she 'gave up and went home', even though by then she was successful in China for her heart shaped face and smoldering eyes and  is even currently the celebrity host of China's Next Top Model. What a difference a decade makes.Asian models use to be seen on the peripheries of the fashion industry and now they are strutting their stuff  on to centre stage.
American Vogue, February 2011

Michelle Lee the casting director for KCD (which produces shows for names such as Marc Jacobs and Chloé) said: "In the past seasons there was definitely an Asian trend, with shows like Louis Vuitton spring/summer '11, and particularly the (all-Asian) Givenchy couture show, leading to Ralph Luaren autumn/winter '11, when the quintessential American designer opened with an Asian model, Sui He, and featured a hevily Asian studded cast."

Givenchy haute couture, spring/summer '11
The Chinese economy is growing rapidly and the models conditions are tied to this-with hope that this fate will keep blooming to ensure Asian models are  in international eyes. I want to see more Asian beauty spilled throughout pages of fashion magazines.Their stunning porcelain skin, large eyes and symmetrical 'moon' faces are undeniably beautiful making fashion an even bolder statement.

Leeds Trinity & All Saints College Open day

From the moment we got chauffered into the carpark by smiley faces,  I knew Leeds Trinity & All Saints was going to be a friendly college. The location compliments the friendly atmosphere by being surrounded by fields. This may be lovely but I think i would prefer being in the heart of a city. However, you can take a 10-15 minute bus ride and you are in the centre of  Leeds.

On arrival we went straight to the Journalism stand where we were greeted by a bubbly multiple award winning journalist Dean Naidoo. He informed us on the course and what it consists of and we chatted alot about the importance of work experience and what work experience he has.His first taste of work experience was writing obituaries for a newspaper. He said it wasn't the most satisfying job and found it hard to speak to people who had just lost a loved one and to be ruthless by getting information out of them.I quote his words ; 'If you can do that, you will have the confidence to speak and interview anyone'

what's cookin' good lookin'

The yummy mummy, Gwyneth Paltrow is known to be a lover of cuisine and recently she has just released a cookery book called Notes from my kitchen table. The delicious recipes are angelically guilt-free, using healthy ingredients but still devilishly lavish. There are indulgences inside too but don't panic the muffins are sugar free! According to critics, it seems the book is all about feeding the ones you love while providing a fierce glimpse  into the star's personal life. Her father's 'Bruce's world famous pancakes sounds wonderfully perfect.

dangerously in love

a year has flown by since my boy Jonny popped the question on a warm starry night. From then on it has been perfect. I still get those same amazing butterflies.Okay enough with the soppyness I hear you scream! We celebrated by eating out at new italian opened in the Light,Leeds, called Zizzi's a.k.a the place with mouthwatering food! As we clanked our glasses of coke (sensible what can I say?!) we ate Italian delicacies.Jonny being Jonny had his typical choice of calzone.Whilst I was feeling a little more adventurous and had the Ciabatta Pollo option, ( Chicken on Ciabatta bread for those who don't know the lingo). After we 'coked' and dined we then rushed to see the new phenomenon that has just been released this week at the cinema, Life in a Day.Go and see it now people, it was amazing to say the least.

rocking with the best

I've just chopped off the legs off my old  Levi and Miss Sixty Jeans.I am I need for more denim mini wonders so I thought I'd do it myself and snip away .I recommened doing it if your strap for cash like me or want to make use of some jeans (also like me) that would look equally better as a pair of booty shaking 'shawts'! Don't get me wrong there are some really lovely denim shorts that are in store's
like this acid wash pair from
<-  Topshop

....or if you've got more cash than dash, then splash out on these Balmain 'Destroyed Shorts'.

Follow my easy peasy lemon squeezy (ohh I had to..) step by step guide on how to create your very own pair of denim 'shawty shawts' that are loved by so many! Who runs the world? C'mon girls!

1.Raid your wardrobe for a pair of jeans that are a bit last season or seem like they've had more wear than your Nana's slippers. For instance I found an old pair of Levi's and Miss Sixty jeans which I haven't worn in years for they are both simply ill fitted.

2.Blast out The Rolling Stones and try on your long lost jeans on and decide how short you want to make your shorts.Pweeese don't give people an eyeful, unless that is the look you intend on having...

3.Once you have decided on the length you are prepared to snip away, then get a pencil and ruler.Or if you want to achieve an even more grungier look (which I did) go ahead and snip along the desired cut off line without a visual aid guideline.

4. Bung the freshly cut shorts into the wash and once dried, you could pull at the hem with sandpaper and create a frayed edge.

5.Ouila! Sun out? New Denim shorts on!

the world is your oyster

I admit it,whenever someone mentions the name 'Shakespeare' I automatically switch off into sleep mode. However this chap has said something which is completely true. 'The world is your oyster'.You can do whatever you want, you just need to hack it and grab your pearl of wisdom that leads you onto living life at its best.I'm talking very seriously because I have been to serious fair about Higher Education. As serious as it may sound it actually turned out quite fun.I certainly arrived in style, dropped off by a bright yellow 1960's bus and then I Walked proudly in my newly purchased primarni chinos and brogues.I found some fantastic universities who held the key to journalism, which is a course I hope to later study. And to top it off, I came away with 50 plus books,a hundred of naff  but brilliant biro's and a stick of Scarborough rock.Excellent.

How very Clam-orous..ha! Betty Spoke's,Oyster shell Dress.

ohhh & the not so glamorous yellow bus.

prada brogue creepers.

Jeepers creepers! You call these sneakers ?

Prada has definitely reinvented the brogue for their Spring/Summer collection. It has beene deemed the must have shoe this season and is called 'the Creeper Brogue'. Teddy Boys praised this style of shoe in the fifties and today it has been brought back with a modern twist. The sole is a sandwich of brightly coloured punched leather, straw, rope and sponge.Basically a  mix of a children's trainer, espadrille and a man's brogue.

Although the shoe appears bizarre and has an eye watering price of 510 smackers, the Creeper Brogue has been an instant hit.UK shops claim to have sold out in a matter of days. This shoe has been designed for women as well as men.You have to have a bulging wallet and lashings of confidence and nerve to work these.

daddy's day

Dad's are amazing aren't they? Well mine is.He makes me so happy with his super sense of humour.I suppose that's where I get my witty-ness from ey! He's always singing and jigging about , even in public,it just doesn't phase him that he looks like a wolly.I love it when he sings and plays the piano whilst there's a scent of tea brewing, fairy liquid and his Calvin Klein cologne mixing in the air.I also love how he  never fails always to end a phone call  or a text message with 'love you lots'; he knows how to make you feel special. He has a new fabulous girlfriend at the moment and I love seeing how loved up he is.There's always romantic cards on the kitchen table that they write to each other to express how they feel and how much they love one another...very cute! I'm so proud I have a father like him,he's full of life and happiness. My dad is also a bit of a wise owl.No not on how to perfectly exterminate spider's, but things that keep you going in life.He once said to me, 'Everyday is a blessing, live life like everyday is the last.'

To celebrate fathers day, we went for a meal and chuckled the night away.

charlie's angels

TGIF! It's partaay time with my gurls! Me and the besties went to our friend, Hannah's 17th Birthday party. We all got ready together as usual, it's a ritual and a crime not to! I love getting ready with my best friends because not only do you have a good old natter about respected beauty products and tips and the latest foot pumping brasserie. But seeing as we all have a good fashion critique eye for what looks right, we all get creative and pull on something which hasnt seen daylight for about a year, customize it with an accessory (or two) and voilà,we look like we've just paraded off the catwalk!

We were fashionably late as per but we soon hitched up the party at notch when we got on our dj-ing  groove on and blasted out the likes of Ne-yo and Beyoncé.Our aim was to get the grammar school ladies and gents bottoms of their seats and by Jove did it work! Accompanied by beer and neatly cut triangle sandwiches,we all had a good time.

I also bumped into my old best friend from primary school who I haven't seen for a bout a year.We regained our eroded bond with rounds of Pacman on a retro games machine which Hannah has in her conservatory.Lets just say, forget a mulberry bag or a pair of sky scraping Jimmy Choo's,I want a Games Arcade Pacman Machine. It's more addictive than chocolate or a tube of pringles.Oh okay maybe not that addictive but it's good time soaker for rainy days!

Righty, here are some snapshots from the formal induced night,Tally Ho.
